2024 COD Conference
According to the website, “With each Co-Occurring Disorders Conference we continue to strive to bring together experts from Washington and across the nation to share information about innovative therapeutic techniques, skills, programs, practices and policies that offer a relevant and enjoyable learning experience. Our goal is to promote integration of services across the public mental health, substance use disorder, developmental disabilities, and medical systems; promote knowledge about co-occurring disorders and the value of integration, to support the development of a co-occurring capable system of care, and to advocate and partner with others to promote integrated treatment and recovery for all people. Finally, we strive to present each participant with current information that will bring value back to the agency and the patients they serve, and to provide a great opportunity to network with friends and colleagues.”
Program Design
With this year’s program and overall design theme I wanted to continue in the art style that I made last year. The theme of the conference this year was “Planning Our Journey Together” so I came up with some sketches that would fit this. I decided to only make the illustrations in blue and yellow again as it was a fun challenge and also gave the conference a unique brand image. The clients liked the landscape one best and requested that a compass somehow be incorporated.
For the inside of the program I was again in charge of the look, layout, and editing description submissions. My goal here was to keep everything simple and easy to read. There were also a couple of headshots I had to edit and make look nice with photoshop.
Name Badges and Signage
I kept the visual theme consistent for the signs at this conference and I thought it looked pretty great. The name badges and certificates were not special this time, I just tried to make them readable and nice looking.
Digital Design
My responsibilities this year also included managing the COD website updating the agenda and front page as well as making this years registration page and maintaining the archive.
